Day 1 - Foxie's First Frost

Today marked the first full day of Foxie's Future's ownership of Foxlease Park and the sun was shining to welcome us back to our forest home!

A busy day of site set up for our hard working Trustees and Committee Team who were able to attend at short notice to help us clear our new "Site Office" and start working our way through the next set of our many lists charting our path to re-opening in February 2025.

The wildlife welcomed us back too, as always in the forest, with the deer who've been looking after things for us going on a few jaunts across the site across the main campsite fields, which were looking (and feeling!) crisp first thing this morning in the winter sun, and the robins and squirrels following us around as we began the great clear out and clean up of the first of the rooms.

After a busy first day, and lots of offers of volunteering pinging in through the day, the team on site were feeling positive as we called time on work for Day 1 - with a nice clean Site Office set up (including the all important kettle station) and working IT waiting for those arriving for Day 2 - we can't wait to see what Day 2 brings!
