Some more of our new signs arrived today and were kindly fitted for us by Sign-It. We're ready to welcome the world from the front gate now and we love our new outside logo sign on the toilet block which will leave visitors in no doubt where they are!
Another set of fabulous volunteers on site again today and they cleaned more of our campsite huts out for us and prepped them for further works. The first clean is the worst but Nightingale, Orchards and Apple Trees are looking much cleaner for our future guests and ready for more repair and repainting.
We'll be completing some bird and insect-proofing works to encourage those little friends to choose other homes this year and also to close the gaps under the doors. We'll be installing new shower curtains throughout so we've added those to the wishlist to stock up and we're seeing the progress, with a couple of weeks still to go until our first booking so with some good weather we should be in good shape (paws crossed!).
Volunteers Gordon and Pete Pete continued on from yesterday's repairs to tackle some of the larger wood replacement needed on Orchards and Apple Trees where the steps were unsafe and the wood damaged. There's a little more work to do to finish those repairs off and to sort the doors too but they certainly look alot sturdier and safer than when they started.
The team tomorrow are starting equivalent works on The Bothy as that's high up the list too. We also managed lots in the office, laminating new information posters for our notice boards, sending out links for snail sponsorship and adding new dates for the Mother's Day Weekend Floristry Workshop.
We also received some wonderful new donations for our on site shop from a supporter who drove a long way to deliver them to us, for which we are very grateful.
Looking forward to getting The Bothy spick and span tomorrow, Love Foxie x
