We had another larger cohort of volunteers on site today, some returners and some new, and some volunteering as a family!  As ever, all were kitted out and sent to tasks from today's list after a stop by Mt. PPE for some high vis and other bits, and Mt. Cleaning for supplies.

We had amazing work going on at both ends of the site - the boiler works in The Barn continue, the site was a hive of cleaning and clearing, as we attempt to fill Baby Skip too (which, oddly, is taking longer than it did to fill Big Skip!), The Gatehouse had a further scrubbing and oh my goodness, the comparison photos of the front door to The Gatehouse show how much "peeling back the layers" really isn't an understatement - it's gleaming white again, thanks to our fantastic team working there today!

We also have to mention the workout one of our volunteers gave The Rug Doctor on the carpets in The Gatehouse too, which smell SO much better already! She cleaned so many for us that we suspect The Rug Doctor might complain of overwork tomorrow.

We had the office going full steam ahead too, with bookings, volunteer coordination and also a bit of laundry action - as one of the warmer rooms in Foxlease House at the moment, the Site Office is also the main drying space for some of the clean curtains and cushions (we don't let Foxie recline for long though - too much to do!).  The Laundry Room activity kept the Singing Washing Machine very busy as we move on to the next building-worth of curtains, ready for drying, ironing and mending over the coming weeks from some of our other volunteers.

Another busy day and good progress so far - we've got good prospects on the horizon for a friendly roofer to fix our problem in The Coach House and for the replacement window glass we needed.  We've also started to look at further grant applications to try to fund some of the bigger things we have on the agenda, although in the short-term the focus is on getting bookings in to support the site's running costs.

More cleaning and clearing tomorrow, Love Foxie x
