Day 33 - When Foxie's Team moved mountains!
Day 33 - When Foxie's Team moved mountains!
We had two external volunteers on site today but they did the work of many more!
Despite the bitter wind, one of our volunteers spent the day advancing along the border outside The Sundial Garden to pick up where our last gardening volunteers left off and to remove the brambles and other weeds which had taken over. She also did some much needed pruning and cutting back of the plants which we do want to flourish in the border so that they can hopefully start to thrive again next year.
Our other volunteer collected and removed all of the bedding from The Coach House for us to the Bar in Foxlease House for now and started a new mountain range...we take this opportunity to introduce you to Mt. Duvet and its smaller neighbour, Mt. Pillow Pile. The recepticle of choice for transporting between the buildings grew in size as the day continued and over the many, many, many steps and stairs climbed to collate and remove. We can now spend some time assessing quality, repairs and cleaning needed and it means that the new mountain range is also safely out of the way of any decorating needed in The Coach House.
As if all that wasn't enough, we also made further progress in The Gatehouse, which will welcome its first volunteers for a test run soon and also in some further mould removal in Foxlease House (white and fluffy this time, rather than black, for anyone wondering).
Rubbish disposal plans progressing on site tomorrow, Love Foxie x
