With the heating works in The Barn completed (which we're so pleased about that we'll be talking about them for a while!) we're finally able to start work in earnest in there to start catching up with our progress elsewhere on site.

We've already had The Barn inventoried and the kitchen contents cleaned and washed, courtesy of some of our previous volunteers, but due to the significant nature of the heating works which were ongoing in there, we've been largely unable to do any cleaning and/or repair works in there up to now.  Unfortunately, for various reasons parts of The Barn are in a terrible state, for example the rear hall entrance hall where there was almost more mud inside than outside, which is saying something give how wet and muddy it has been at Foxlease Park recently.

Our volunteers today did an absolutely exceptional job removing the not-so-therapeutic mud spa from The Barn, as well as completing the first clean and descale of all the rooms and bathrooms in The Barn (except the main hall) and the difference is staggering!  Foxie was kept away from The Barn for fear a trip round The Singing Washing Machine might be needed after a short visit, but tomorrow will be a different story entirely given the much cleaner state of things!

We've also had more fantastic deliveries arriving to grow the Amazon Mountain Range from our supporters' wonderful generosity.  Those purchases are keeping us stocked up and out outgoings to a minimum in this time before we are open for bookings.  We're pleased to say that our bookings for the buildings so far are more or less on track with our estimations and we hope that those will continue to grow into the New Year and beyond when we do some advertising.  Our camping bookings are currently low against what we expected but, again, we're hoping that will increase in the New Year with some advertising.

Review of progress and more cleaning on the cards for tomorrow, Love Foxie x
