So many plans - old plans, new plans and making plans! We've had fantastic progress today and yesterday with visiting Volunteer Corrie who kindly gave us her time and expertise to assist with assessing prospective locations for certain future projects, like accessible campsites, and supporting us with photographs, advice and plans for our future grant applications for funding.  She's also compiling a range of old plans of the site for us which we hope we can put to use as part of our plans to participate in Heritage Open Week later this year.

This morning we bid adieu to The Original Baby Skip and a short while later welcomed Baby Skip #2 to site to take its predecessor's place - we've made great progress with getting rid of the various forms of waste on site and Baby Skip #2 will be an integral part of that continuing vital work. We thank Original Baby Skip for its service.

On the volunteer side, our dedicated group today were smoothing and checking the filled holes in The Lodge, identifying paint colours for us to match up fo touch ups (more challenging than it sounds) and Volunteers Jennie and Nat spent the day working hard for us measuring, cutting and replacing damaged, stained and sub-standard ceiling tiles for us in The Lodge so that all those future top-bunk guests in there will have nice clean ceilings to stare at when they can't sleep rather than unidentified stains or holey tiles.  Cleaning in The Lodge also continued with a vengance and we've managed to make special arrangements for assistance with the very tall ceiling and the curtains in there - more on that next week.

We had a volunteer with plumbing expertise come and check on some of our leaks and identify the parts needed to replace them and we're grateful that Volunteer Pete, who came to us via our links with Lyndhurst Men's Shed, is returning next week to hopefully finish the jobs and make sure the water remains where it should be.

Frosty and sunny on site today and our indoor team managed to progress some of our event planning and fundraising projects.  We're on the hunt for anyone with skills in a particular craft or hobby who might be happy to give us their time to run a workshop for us at some point in the coming year - if that might be you, please get in touch to volunteers@foxlease.uk and we can discuss our ideas further.

Investigating other new projects tomorrow, Love Foxie x
