A quick sign off yesterday as the headlights were coming up The Drive for the quiz and there was no more time to spare!

We started this morning with breakfast for our overnight guests, courtesy of our resident MasterChef, Viv.  We're so pleased that our first event went well and our organisers did part 2 of the event (the less exciting clean up part) this morning.  Unfortunately it was a rainy day on site today and that made the cleaning up (which was largely putting things back where they belong) a little more challenging, or at least a bit more soggy but our fab team got it done.

Our Volunteers then moved on to putting away tables, hoovering and general cleaning to make sure The Barn and The Lodge are fresh for this weekend's bookings.  We had a few finishing off bits to do - some more little repairs and the reinstallation of the mirrors in The Lodge following their painting yesterday evening.  Our fab electricians stopped by to complete part 1 of some of the site's new cooker installations so that we're ready to wire in the ones arriving soon when they arrive.

We didn't have any opportunity for outside work much today due to the weather but we did have some visitors stop by to view parts of the site, regardless of the weather, and we spent some time on some paperwork follow up for the quiz, bookings and our upcoming events.  We've got some new craft workshops to be scheduled in soon, including a Mother's Day Weekend Floristry Session which we hope to get listed for ticket sales very soon.

Feeling very grateful to our hard-working volunteer quiz organisers and our volunteers who gave their time to help park cars, serve the food, run our shop, serve drinks, do vast amounts of washing up or who made us, literally, hundreds of desserts.  It doesn't take a village to run a good event, but it does take a great Foxlease Park Team and we're so lucky to have each and everyone of them!

Looking forward to checking in our first residential tomorrow, Love Foxie x
