Day 11 - When Foxie saw double and the return of the magician electrician!
Day 11 - When Foxie saw double and the return of the magician electrician!
Our plans for more work outdoors were quashed by the weather today, which was a damp and humid day at Foxlease Park.
We had twins volunteering on site all day and they did a spectacular job helping us inventory the works needed to The Barn and the furniture and then clearing The Barn kitchen this afternoon ready for the work to the boiler in there to start over the next couple of weeks. We're looking forward to The Barn being cosy again soon ready for visitors next year!
The singing washing machine churned through some more curtains from The Lodge and we had our friendly local carpenter/joiner on site to help us with securing some parts of the site.
Our magician electrician also returned to site for a full day and did an amazing job for us capping off the old reading lamps in the Accessible Suite, replacing one of our external lights that wasn't working, fixing some lighting circuits and working on a very special repair job for us which we can't wait to share soon when it's complete!
This evening Foxie was on the streets of Lyndhurst with some of our wonderful Trustees and Volunteers for the Christmas Lights Switch on and enjoyed the fireworks, whilst others finalised preparations for our Foxie's Winter Fair tomorrow - we're grateful to the wonderful twins for giving us their time at both ends of the day.
Looking forwards to Winter Fair Fun tomorrow, Love Foxie x
