Day 12 - Foxie's Winter Fair and lanterns to light the way.

We had less volunteers on site today as the majority were committed to either assiting at or attending our Foxie's Winter Fair - so we took the time to restore some order ready for the busy week to come, both in terms of paperwork and everything else!

We're starting to get some good systems in place for our volunteer processes, which have been tested by our week 1 volunteers, and the Amazon Mountain Range now has a wonderful supply of the things we need for them to get to work (Mt. Cleaning and Mt. PPE in particular).

We've also got to grips (we think) with what lives where in our many, many key cabinets so we're hoping next week might involve a few less accidental extra steps.

We're expecting our first Corporate Volunteering Group later next week so we'll let you know how that goes and we're planning a project for them to work on for us during their day at site.

Although Foxlease House is lower down our list for reopening due to the long list we have to work through, we're working hard to make sure it has the love it needs to keep it safe over the winter as it gets colder. We're making use of the ground floor shutters for a number of reasons and they will be the focus of some careful attention in the coming weeks to restore them back to good working order (and to relocate the vast number of little spiders who've been living in them to happier homes).

We've also taken down the lanterns from the front of the house to give them a good clean and refresh and to restore them to working order over the next few weeks (more spiders to relocate from there too!).

We then dashed off to the Foxie's Winter Fair at the Community Centre where our supporters turned out in droves for us to buy, donate, sign up and support us.
