Less volunteers on site today, but no less work taking place!

We had a big clear out of some of the former office spaces to restore order and labelled lots of shelves (and Foxie!) to help us develop storage systems which work for our current needs.  The bookings system is still going strong and we've hit over 50 bookings in our first week, which is amazing!  We hope there are lots more to come.

One of our volunteers has been clearing drains and cutting back associated overgrowth behind The Barn, which is really needed to preserve the integrity of the building and to ensure drainage flow for the winter months is good to avoid any damage.  The before and after progress so far is in the photos, with more to come soon.

With assistance from our volunteers, we have removed the cardboard from the Amazon Mountain to be recycled, other than what we've recycled ourselves by using it for our own shop orders.  It's much smaller for now but we suspect based on the purchase history of the Wishlist that more is on its way soon!

The leaky laundry room sink has been repaired, with just sealant to dry, and fingers crossed that it will be back in full action soon with some shiny new tiles.  It did cause our volunteer a tricky time when what looked like 2 tiles to be replaced turned into 5 when the others popped off as he started work, but Foxlease House has always had a mind of its own!  All re-grouted now and in place drying ready for more sealant later this week.  The Rug Doctor was in better spirits and we gave it a rest but the singing washing machine also needs a minor plumbing repair on the outflow pipe, so perhaps we are working both too hard!

Our volunteers also started work pressure washing  at the side of Foxlease House and the layers of mud which that removed were immensely satisfying to see - with the ground underneath an entirely different colour (see photos)! More progress on that tomorrow.

Our Accessible Suite has been measured for new net curtains, arriving soon and when showing round some contractors this morning we took a little pit stop on a special balcony which most of you will know well to take a photo of the view.

We also received our second parcel which precedes our broadband installer's arrival tomorrow so that we can get Foxie's Team online on site, allowing some of our processes to go digital.

Big skip and broadband both expected in the morning, Love Foxie x
