Day 50 - Whooah! Foxie's halfway there........

....and living on caffeine and generously given volunteer time!

Lots more progress today and innovation in The Lodge in particular (dusting those high walls in the main hall in there is no joke!) - the paint job in there is starting to look AMAZING and people who haven't been on site for a few days are able to see the difference.  We're looking forward to being at the point where we can do a video walk through to show the world but we can safely say the hours of time our wonderful volunteer team have put into scrubbing, buffing, repairing and renovating in are paying off!  We've picked up more paint today to keep our painters going and to get them to the finish post as The Lodge is so nearly there.

Meanwhile, in The Barn, great progress too.  No photos to share yet, but the filler has been smoothed and we're on to painting in there too and with the shiny new heating system puffing away, both buildings are shaping up nicely! Again, full credit to our wonderful volunteers.  We've measured the glass for the replacement panels in the various doors in The Barn today and the replacement floor tiles for those which are broken have arrived and we'll be looking to install those in the coming weeks.

All our fire extinguishers in The Lodge and Barn have been checked and are up to date or have been replaced with up to date ones.  We've also had continuing work on our COSHH register.  We've also had contractors on site to quote us for duct cleaning in the kitchen areas of both buildings.

More curtain action too, with our expert and apprentice drapers working hard to prepare the curtains in both buildings for re-hanging once painting is complete, hopefully next week. 

We've also had hard work going on in The Gatehouse as the flooring needed to be relaid.  Volunteers Gordon and Iain were ready to tackle the task to lay nice new flooring throughout and to remove some of the older carpet but they had a bit of a challenge as the carpet in there appeared to have been glued with the most super duper sticky glue there ever was!  They persevered but the ungluing was a bit more of a challenge than expected!

The De-humidifier (yet to be named) is due to arrive tomorrow, Love Foxie x
