Day 76 - Delivery Day (or when the barrier was pretending to be a yo-yo)
Day 76 - Delivery Day (or when the barrier was pretending to be a yo-yo)
The barrier was doing its best imitation of a yo-yo today - it was up and down with so many different visitors! We had our fire risk assessor doing inspections, our volunteer plumber stopping by, arrivals from far-flung volunteers coming to spend some time with us, some third party potential partners coming to help us out with some exciting things around the site and some fantastic surprise delivery arrivals. What we thought were some small radiator parts we ordered, actually turned out to be the arrival of some of our new tentage ordered in the winter sales. We weren't expecting them to arrive just yet and so we were momentarily confused when the nice delivery man explained he had 12 large boxes for us, not one tiny one.
In other delivery news, it looks like Foxie's Fairy Godparents' generosity may finally have defeated the local Amazon Delivery Man, who this morning, instead of unloading parcels at Paul's, presented him with his vey own Amazon Logistics Bag of delivery parcels - we'll be working through opening them tomorrow to grow the Amazon Mountain Range and the adjacent Mt. Cardboard further!
Our volunteers today were sugar-soaping walls in The Barn - finishing off the clearance of the basketball court and more magic erasing of stains. The drawing pins have been removed from the notice boards in The Barn ready for brown paper/re-covering. Our wonderful volunteer plumber tackled some shower drips for us and also turned his hand to realigning the kitchen cupboard doors in The Barn and fixing up one of the loose panels in the Prep Room in The Lodge.
Paul and Volunteers Andy and Ian have been tackling fencing and the replacement of paving stones around the external areas up at The Lodge (photos soon when work is complete).
More yo-yo-ing tomorrow, with lots of commissioning works contractors expected, Love Foxie x
